Supporting Children in Need

‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” (Mark 10:14)

Despite huge economic progress in India in recent years, there are still millions in India living in poverty. Many families struggle to meet even the basic needs of their children.

In response to the immense social need, hundreds of Christian organisations all over India have established children’s homes and boarding schools.

Over the years India Link Ministries has been asked by trusted Christian leaders in India to help raise sponsors for the children.

So far over 70 supporters in the UK have set up a monthly standing order. We would like to recruit many more sponsors so that the needs of more children may be met.

 How much does it cost?

It costs £20 to £25 per monthly to support one child. This covers their basic needs including food, clothes, accommodation and school fees.

What if I cannot afford £20 per month?

Please give whatever you can afford. Even as little as £5 per month will make a difference.

What may I expect in return?

This depends on the policy of the individual children’s home. For example, you may receive a photo so that you can pray for the child. You should receive a regular newsletter from the home.

Which homes do you currently support?

At present we are mainly supporting the El-Shadai Children’s Home in Chennai, South India, and the North Eastern Children’s Home (NECH) in Churachandpur, Manipur. (Support for NECH is co-ordinated by a “dedicated” UK Committee.)
